Michelle+Anthony's Moody Sunroom

I mentioned previously how gorgeous the location of Michelle and Anthony's home is—nowhere is this fact more obvious than in their sunroom. It looks out over the natural beauty of their wooded lot and landscaping, with wide picture windows and skylights. For obvious reasons, they spend a ton of time in here!
When we started out, this room was also under construction. It was painted a light gray that was lovely, but I knew that the drama of a dark, moody color would make the large room feel cozy, and draw the eye out to the beautiful view.
And here's the finished room!

This rich green paint has so much energy! It's a chameleon color, changing tones throughout the day in different lighting conditions. In keeping with the moodiness, we chose an oversize sectional in a deep navy blue. A live edge table they already had was another great way to bring the outdoors in and keep the wooded setting an element in the room.

We upholstered the window seat, giving them another excellent little reading nook.

The media stand adds some warmth to all the cool colors in the room. I adore the patina on the copper doors.

All the built-ins were the perfect spot to display more of the quirky pieces the family loves to collect. Family mementos, art projects, and favorite memories are all stored together inside.

No wonder this is the room where they spend most of their time! I've gotta say, I absolutely love it. What do you think?
